Wow, she's SO smart!
Either that or I'm making too big of a deal about this but I think it's amazing. Natalie came out this morning after her nursing session and was playing around with the box of a toy that we got her on Friday. I had put the toy in the closet Friday night because I didn't want her losing the pieces for it. That was probably 36 hours before. So, she's playing with the box and she decides she wants the toy. She goes to the closet and points at the closet door which is her way of letting me know to go and open it. I open the door and she looks around. She finally looks up and sees the toy and points to that. I take it down for her and set it up and she plays with it happily. I just think it's neat that she remembered I put it in there over a day ago. She knows where certain foods go in the fridge and she can go looking for them when the fridge is open but the fact that she can remember where I put something of hers more than 24 hours ago when we had just gotten it for her that day I think is pretty darn good! And that she associated the picture of the toy with the actual toy that she played with just boggles my mind. Considering just over a year ago, she would have considered the toy to be gone when it was out of her sight, I find it utterly amazing just how far she has come. Her father's memory isn't even that good! lol
